New Norcia Theme Retreat

Participants delved deeply into the 2022 Mandorla Art Award theme with a one day and one night retreat at New Norcia, Australia’s only monastic town.

The creation and depiction of forms is the core business of artists. Creating changes in our inner and outer lives is the spiritual way. In this short retreat the two came together in four sessions, providing inspiration to fire the imagination, and opportunities to meet other artists.

Retreat leaders were Sylvia Grevel, Mary Casotti, Rev John Ward and Angela McCarthy. All are Mandorla Art Award Committee members, and scholars on Art and Spirituality.
