A Micah Royal Commission – barbara haddy

From my 7th birthday gift, a yellowed page of the Old English Bible, Micah’s notions of wicked human activity, deceitful exchanges, corruption to be called out, prompts this artwork.
If read from lower left, an earthly low life beetles down to a void or to a beckoning turning curve scooping up outstretched translucent watery forms.
Page 713 is key to the upper right panel with its dark winged shape swiping scroll or admonishing sword?
Overall for the transitional zones I chose to envisage trajectories up TOWARDS THE LIGHT, rather than dark punishments for not redeeming oneself.
At early stages of thinking Micah’s text, I set up a tableau to see how to dishonestly weight scales.
