Split between two worlds, an imperfect being, castigated by all.
Very human but wishing to be holy, oscillating between these states.
Is being holy to be apart from the trials of life?
Seeing intensely is feeling intensely.
There are no barriers only the ones created in our own minds.
Ignorance of the plight of others leaves us vacant, empty and without compassion.
Otherwise, we are not holy but broken.
Without justice, we are left numb.
A power that is given is without validity, leaves us broken.
Godfrey Blow is a contemporary artist with an international profile. He trained as an artist at Sheffield Hallam University in England and came to Western Australia in 1982. His work features in many public collections including His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales, Artbank, the Art Gallery of WA, The University of Western Australia and Curtin University. He has taken part in numerous solo and mixed exhibitions in Australia, the United Kingdom, India, China, and Canada. In addition, he has won several prestigious art awards in Western Australia and been a finalist in many national art prizes.
