Five Shades of Red – Suzanna Harroothunian
In Micah 6:8 God was asking a rhetorical question pointing to the perpetual darkness of the human soul, this is symbolised by the shades of black. This verse is embedded within the context of the messianic prophecy, God demonstrating his love, mercy and humble nature by the promise of the Messiah to rescue our soul from darkness. God’s heart is depicted in shades of red, partly veiled with white translucent paint suggesting the need for continuous unveiling of our spiritual eyes to come to the revelation of depth of God’s love; only then our soul transforms and manifests divine love, not to just love the weak but to love your enemy. Do you see the unveiling of the cross before you?
