Tevita Havea was born in Nuku’alofa, Tonga. He graduated with a Bachelor of Visual Arts from The Australian National University in 2005. He works predominantly in glass and wood across sculpture and installation. Havea’s work has been recognised internationally, including being acquired by major collections such as The Corning Museum of Glass, New York, and the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. His work has also been exhibited at Saatchi Gallery, London. In 2009 he was the recipient of the prestigious international New Talent Award by Urban Glass, New York.
