Tears of Compassion – Bernadette Harrigan

17 February, 2020

I have sought to create a journey image where tears of grief and compassion, in response to injustice & disaster (cameo images), then water our heart seeds resulting in justice & kindness, in turn bearing a living witness to a faith community based on love (cross). Apart from named examples of some foundational bearers of justice & kindness who have inspired me (First People, disabled, poor) I have generally chosen to keep ‘helping’ images ill defined, indicative of reciprocity between helpers & those helped. Walking humbly with our God is implicit in this journey for Matthew 25 attests to our walking humbly with our God whenever we ‘do’ justice & kindness to the ‘least’ of God’s people.
