Now seems like an apocalyptic era of doom. The suffering earth, its creatures, its rivers, seas, trees and ecosystems. Our cruelty to each other, inability to nurture, cherish and help growth. Global and personal. So, to love mercy, do justice and walk humbly with my god is such a death defying response.
Gathering up that “torn apartness” and carry the wounds gently, in a womb like vessel. Quietly administering a poultice, applying pressure to broken flesh, restitching, re-connecting, healing, recommitting to what is right, so that it might be integrated.
Putting one foot in front of the other and holding on to that life line, that scarlet thread that is quietly drawing us to hope.
