A Place of Hope

Oil and ink on canvas, 100 x 150cm

Artist Statement

“A Place of Hope responds to the transformative and enduring nature of the human spirit when going through trials and suffering. As we persevere, character develops enabling us to enter into a place of hope. (Romans 5:1-5) To move from despair to hope is indeed a profound and radical change of heart. My landscapes are like internal landscapes of the mind, referencing my inner journey, attachment to place, and spirituality expressed through colour, random pouring, pushing and layering of paint.”
